KUCHING, Feb 25: Dayak National Congress (DNC) has reminded Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) president Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing that PAS has no respect towards the Dayak community in Sarawak.
Responding to Masing’s recent comment that GPS was more comfortable working with PAS than DAP as published by MalaysiaKini, DNC president Paul Raja said PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has revealed his low view of the Dayak community in the past.
“We read with circumspection the comment by Masing on his preference for PAS. He must not forget that Abdul Hadi not only has no respect but also has low opinion of the Dayak community.
“PAS’ brand of politics and religious stand should put Masing to sleepless night. If GPS is going to tie up with Maufakat Nasional, of which PAS is a member, then GPS’ battle cry of anti-Malaya is not only hollow but also just a fable,” Paul said in a statement.
Asserting that the state election were just around the corner, Paul opined that any wrong move by GPS in tying itself with Malaya-based parties by going against its own slogan will be severely punished by the Sarawak voters.
“We urge the people to be vigilant of crooked, corrupt and racist politicians who are out to destroy the nation over their greed and lust for power and positions,” Paul said.—DayakDaily
