KUCHING, Feb 19: The Magistrate’s Court here allowed police to remand a 25-year-old murder suspect for seven days until Feb 26 to assist in police investigations.
The suspect allegedly murdered his friend in Batu Kawah on February 17 and was arrested by police on February 18.

Investigating officer Insp Nor Ainsah applied for the remand at the Magistrate’s Court here today. The suspect was unrepresented by counsel.
The 37-year-old murder victim was found dead at the scene by the public around 3.40am.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries a mandatory death sentence upon conviction. — DayakDaily
