Bangladeshi woman beats up Pakistani boyfriend in domestic dispute

MIRI, Jan 23: A 23-year-old man from Pakistan sustained bodily injuries after he was allegedly beaten up by his girlfriend inside their rented house at Jalan Perkasa, Senadin, yesterday.

It was understood that both of them are students of a private higher learning institution here and the victim’s girlfriend is a Bangladesh national. Prior to the alleged attack, the victim was sleeping inside his room when his girlfriend came in and started to beat him up. She allegedly kicked, punched and strangled the victim.


According to sources, the woman not only injured the boyfriend but damaged belongings inside the victim’s room.

A housemate immediately alerted the security on the incident and they called the police to the scene. A police report on the incident has been lodged and the woman is currently being detained under police custody.

The case is being investigated under Section 324 /427 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means and mischief. — DayakDaily
