KUCHING, July 24: A stationery and souvenir storage shop at Batu Kawa New Township here was destroyed in a fire this afternoon.
According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 3.35pm, and firefighters from the Batu Lintang station were deployed, with additional firefighting assistance provided by the Tabuan Jaya and Padungan stations.

It was noted that the fire involved a ground-floor shop used to store stationery supplies and souvenirs, measuring approximately 15 x 30 square feet, in a permanent three-storey building.
The fire was brought under control at 4.05pm, and firefighters are currently carrying out overhaul works. — DayakDaily
