Attractive prizes await lucky visitors to Sarawak Day exhibition

BINTULU, July 16: In conjunction with the Sarawak Day celebration to be centred in Bintulu, Pustaka Negeri will hold a week-long Sarawak Day Exhibition as one of its main activities.

It will be held at Naim Street Mall, Naim Paragon Bintulu from July 22-28.

His Excellency Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud has been invited to launch the exhibition.

The exhibition is aimed at imparting knowledge on Sarawak, her stories, and her development.

In a statement by Unit Komunikasi Awam Sarawak (Ukas), the exhibition covers subject matters such as the history of Bintulu, the Sarawak State Assembly and how Sarawak has progressed and developed over the years.

Lucky visitors coming to the exhibition will be rewarded with attractive prizes. There will also be other programmes and activities for the public including knowledge-based programmes like Sarawakiana talks and quizzes.

Other exciting programmes lined up are book sales and meet-ups with historians and local authors. For those wanting to have mementos of the day, they can take photographs at the Sarawak Day Exhibition photo booth.

The Sarawakiana talks will feature Dr Suffian Mansur, a well-known authority on Sarawak history from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Habids Buhigiba Mohamad Bustaman from Institut Perguruan Batu Lintang, and Dr Nadrawina Isnin, from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).
