APM hopes to establish more offices to serve all districts in Sarawak

KUCHING, March 24: The Sarawak Civil Defence Force (APM) aims to expand its operations in all districts throughout Sarawak.

Its director Mohtar Samat said currently APM has 21 administrative offices to cover all the districts.


“For this year, we are planning to establish more offices in Simunjan, Selangar and Pakan,” he told reporters after the the APM 70th Anniversary State Level Celebration 2020 held at APM headquarters in Jalan Diplomatik, today.

He added that while it may take time, plans are already in place to start building such offices.

“It might not be in a year or two, but with the support of headquarters, it will move in that direction based on the need,” he said.

Meanwhile, when asked by reporters regarding APM membership in Sarawak, Mohtar said APM Sarawak has no issue in regards to recruitment.

He explained that APM Sarawak has almost 78,000 members throughout the State. — DayakDaily
