MIRI, Oct 18: A man in his 20’s, believed to be involved in drug abuse, ran amok and threatened to harm his mother and grandmother with an iron rod after they refused his demand for cash.
The incident occurred at a house at Piasau Jaya, here, around 8.20pm.
Outraged when his request was denied, he grabbed the iron rod and began smashing belongings inside the house.
His terrified mother and grandmother were fortunately left unharmed in the incident as they managed to flee the scene.
A police report on the incident was filed by the mother of the suspect on Wednesday (Oct 16).
According to sources, the incident was not the first time to have occurred. At press time, no arrest has been made relating to the incident. — DayakDaily
