KUCHING, July 3: A temporary half-road closure has been implemented near the Batang Lupar 1 Bridge beginning July 1 (Wednesday) until July 13 (Monday) for the bridge’s officiation ceremony and half-marathon event.
In a notice posted on Facebook, the Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) said the road closure will be implemented before the start of Batang Lupar 1 Bridge 1 in Sebuyau, on the Triso-Sebuyau route.
The department has also designated alternative routes for road users to use from Triso to Sebuyau and Sebuyau to Triso.
“Road users are advised to plan their journeys, use the designated alternative routes, obey all traffic signs and follow the instructions of traffic personnel on site, and reduce speed and exercise caution when passing through the work area.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused. The cooperation and patience of all road users throughout the implementation period are greatly appreciated,” said the department.
