In a statement, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (Miri) chief Capt Mohd Fauzi Othman said: “Our men immediately rushed to the location after being notified of the discovery. We have brought both of them to the Marina Bay jetty here.”

On Tuesday, Awangku Azman and Mohammad sent foodstuff to MK4 at 66 nautical miles off Kuala Sibuti.

When they did not return later in the day, their family members immediately raised the alarm.

“Their family members were unable to call them on their cellphones after they failed to return home from the trip,” said Mohd Fauzi, adding that the duo was stranded after the boat they had used suffered engine failure. — DayakDaily
