Alan Walker and DJ Soda to headline Borneo Music Festival Live 2020

KUCHING, Jan 9: Some of the hottest DJs and musicmakers from around the world are heading to Kuching to play at Borneo Music Festival Live 2020 at the Sarawak Cultural Village this April 10-11.

Headlining the event is British-born DJ and music producer Alan Walker who is best known for his hit “Faded”, making his debut appearance in Sarawak.

Walker has received diamond certification in Germany and multi-platinum certifications in over 10 countries including the US and UK for “Faded”, which has more than 2.597 billion views on YouTube. The global appeal of his music is also reflected in the over 37.87 million subscribers to his channel.


Also headlining is DJ Soda, billed as South Korea’s hottest DJ, who is no stranger to the scene. The international phenomenon is expected to take the crowd on a high with her energetic remixes of popular dance hits.

Festival goers can also look forward to being entertained by DJ Alexis Grace from Malaysia, Nicole Chen from Singapore, DJ X Factor from the Philippines, DJ Venom C and Moski Love from Indonesia.

Other artistes include Live Fast Die Young (LFDY) from Taiwan, Alex X from China and Malaysian singers such as Rynn Lim, ThomasJack and Priscilla Abby.

Also taking to the stage will be Sarawakian performers At Adau, Tuku Kamek, DJ Chaca Feroza, DJ Myvax and DJ Ice-cream.

According to a press release from BME International, Borneo Music Festival Live 2020 is positioned as an international music festival, and aims to bring together artistes from different parts of the world to add more colours to a vibrant local music scene.

The festival is for those 18-years-old and above only.

Besides hosting the large-scale music performances, Sarawak Cultural Village will also be hosting an all-day long bazaar where festival goers will find artisanal handcrafts, clothing, delicacies and a variety of goods.

Tickets for the Borneo Music Festival Live 2020 will be on sale on Jan 14 starting from 12 noon and may be purchased through airasiaredtix.com/tickets/BMFL2020.

A two-day pass for general admission for the private sales category is RM200; early bird RM320; phase one RM360 and phase two RM400.

Meanwhile, for a two-day pass for rock zone early bird category is RM600, phase one RM650; phase two RM700.

All ticket prices are excluding processing fees.
