KUCHING, Dec 24: Aircrew on rotation or night stops arriving in Sarawak from outside Malaysia must be quarantined until their next flight out.
Those on rotation or night stops within Malaysia are, on the other hand, exempted from any quarantine.
According to the latest standard operating procedures (SOPs) by Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), all crew members from both categories must be fully vaccinated with two doses, apply through EnterSarawak, and fill in the e-Health Declaration Form (eHDF) before entering the State.
While those from outside Malaysia need only submit their negative rT-PCR test results, there is an additional requirement for the same test results to have a seven-day validity for those working within Malaysia.
Meanwhile, all commercial airlines, cargo crew based in Sarawak and non-Sarawakians attending training or examinations are exempted from quarantine when entering the State.
They must only be vaccinated with two complete doses, provide negative results from RTK Antigen self-tests, and have their eHDFs filled before any flight.
Note that Covid-19 test results for all airline crew must be submitted to the Ministry of Transport Sarawak when requested.
Besides local aircrew, the rest must always have their identification card or passport, work permit, two-dose vaccination proof, negative RTK Antigen test results, letter of employment, and general declaration when travelling into Sarawak.
