AirAsia operates limited flights from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah, Sarawak from Mar 19 to 31

KUCHING, Mar 19: Low cost carrier AirAsia Bhd (AirAsia) is rescheduling its flights to Sabah and Sarawak from Peninsular Malaysia in view of the Covid-19 situation.

A message received by AirAsia passengers this morning stated that AirAsia will be cancelling all flights from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah and Sarawak effective March 19 until March 31 with the exception of one flight per day to Kota Kinabalu and one flight a day to Kuching.

When contacted, AirAsia in a statement said, “AirAsia will be operating a limited number of domestic and international flights from today (March 19) until 31 March, which are subject to change due to the fluidity of the current situation.

“Affected guests will be promptly notified via email or SMS. AirAsia strongly encourages guests to update their contact details using the ‘My Bookings’ feature on to ensure that they receive timely notifications.

“Guests may check on their flights via the ‘Flight Status’ function, as well as available flights on the website and mobile app,” the statement said.—DayakDaily
