AirAsia fixes fares on all domestic routes to enable Malaysians to vote

KUCHING, April 13: AirAsia is offering fixed fares on all domestic routes between May 8 to 10 in its support for Malaysians to travel back to their constituencies to vote.

In a press statement, the budget airline made the announcement and showcased the fares for inter-domestic flights within Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia as well as between these two regions that are separated by the South China Sea.

In general, within the same region of Peninsular Malaysia, Sarawak and Sabah, prices for all internal flights are fixed at RM99.

However, flight fares between regions, for example, a flight between a city in the Peninsula to a city in Sarawak is fixed at RM129 while between Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah is set at RM199.

Guests travelling during the polling period are advised to arrive at the airport earlier to avoid congestion. They are also advised to use web check-in or mobile check-in services.

Web and mobile check-in services, according to the statement, are available from 14 days to one hour before the scheduled time of departure.
