KUCHING, Sept 24: The highly anticipated Air Supply 50th Anniversary Celebration in Kuching, scheduled for today at SBC Hall, has been unexpectedly cancelled.
The announcement was made through the artists’ official channels at 3.15am, leaving organisers and ticket holders stunned and disappointed.
Twig Events, the local organiser, revealed that months of meticulous planning had gone into preparing the concert.
Coordination with the band’s management was handled by concert promoter Galaxy World Entertainment Sdn Bhd, with discussions now underway to determine the reasons behind the abrupt cancellation.
In a press statement, Twig Events acknowledged the frustration felt by partners, ticket holders, and its own team, who had been eager to deliver a memorable evening of live music.
The organiser added that a possible rescheduled date is being explored, with updates to be announced once confirmed.
“All tickets will be refunded in full to the original payment method. Refund processing will commence immediately and is expected to be completed within 14 working days, subject to payment providers. Refund instructions will be sent directly to all ticket purchasers by email,” the statement read.
Twig Events also announced that a press conference will be held soon to provide further details and outline the next steps. The organiser extended its sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused and expressed gratitude to the public for their patience, understanding, and continued support of live music in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
