KUCHING, Aug 17: Police seized an air rifle, two plastic bags containing ‘Superdome 3’ bullets, ecstasy pills and Methamphetamine from a house at Lorong Kapor No.3, Jalan Sg Maong, here, yesterday.
A 40-something jobless man was also arrested after his urine samples tested positive for Methamphetamine.
Acting on a public tip-off, officers from the state Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (JSJN) raided the house at 5.30pm.
JSJN head Hasnir Abdul Hamid, who confirmed the case, said police found red powder substance, 10 brown pills and crystal-like substance, believed to be illegal drugs, hidden in a drawer of a wooden cabinet under a table.
They also found the air rifle and bullets placed at the sidewall staircase.
Further checks revealed that the suspect has seven previous drug records.
He is currently detained under Section 39A (1), Section 12 (2), Section 15 (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 and Section 8 of the Firearms Act 1960. — DayakDaily
