Agricultural Road Project in Kampung Emparoh Jambu, Padawan expected to be completed by Feb

KUCHING, Jan 29: Agricultural Road Project worth RM500,000 in Kampung Emparoh Jambu in Padawan is expected to be completed by February this year.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, the 2-kilometre road project which is allocated under Rural Transformation Program (RTP), involves the construction of 13 culverts and 40 gabion walls.

On Thursday, special administrative officer to Assistant Minister of Transport Sarawak Datuk Dr. Jerip Susil, Keron Mapus together with Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak engineer William Kuyang, made a working visit to the project site to inspect the progress.

The construction works for the road started on May 2021 and it is expected to be fully completed by the end of February.

The project was delayed due to Covid-19 pandemic as well as uncertain weather conditions. — DayakDaily
