Fears escalated after a video posted on a Facebook page, showed the crocodile exhibiting aggressive behavior, stirring alarm among the public.

Plantation workers, fearing potential attacks, took matters into their own hands by setting traps over several attempts.

After an intense struggle, the crocodile was eventually caught using a rope, which was secured around its mouth before it was tied up to prevent further danger.

With the help of heavy machinery, the reptile was lifted and restrained.

However, the exact location where the crocodile has been transferred to remains unknown at this time.

Public awareness of the crocodile’s presence surged after the video went viral, prompting authorities and plantation management to advise workers and the public to exercise extreme caution near ditches and creeks in the plantation areas.

Further safety precautions are expected to be implemented in the area to prevent potential incidents involving wildlife.

For now, residents and workers have been urged to stay vigilant until further updates are provided on the situation. — DayakDaily
