Afternoon to dawn: Heavy rain, strong winds forecasted for Sarawak’s central, southern zones

KUCHING, Feb 25: Wind concentration is expected in Sarawak’s central and southern zones, with the potential for thunderstorms with heavy rain and strong winds, particularly in the afternoon and lasting until early morning.

According to a weather model analysis released by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) at 12pm today, thunderstorms and heavy rain with strong winds are also possible in some areas of the Peninsula’s interior and west.

Furthermore, MetMalaysia expects dry and hot weather in some places, with temperatures exceeding 35 degrees Celsius, particularly in the north of the Peninsula and Sabah.
