KUCHING, April 3: Aeroville Mall Kuching is offering the opportunity for the public to set up stalls in support of the Charity Food Fair for Society for Critically Sick Children (SOS Kids).

According to a press release from the Aeroville Mall management team, there will be no charges imposed in setting up the stalls and the Charity Food Fair will take place on June 30 (Sunday) from 8am to 2pm.

Members of the public may also make charity coupon purchases with a minimum of RM100 per book. All proceeds from this event will be directed to SOS Kids.

The Charity Food Fair is held to deliver public awareness about SOS Kids in addition to gathering funds to provide financial support for the children as well as their families who are in dire need of aid.

“We’re not only helping to fund the machines, we also use the collected funds to buy groceries and improve their (the children) quality of life,” said SOS Kids president, Constance Leong.

Richard Lee, founder of SOS Kids said that the organisation will require additional funds this year compared to last year as they intend to purchase new machines to replace old ones.

Aeroville Mall director Kapitan Tan Kun Gee has targeted raising a minimum of RM100,000 during the charity event because he believes that financial aid is important to ensure that the children receive the assistance they require.

Currently, there are 43 children who receive funding from SOS Kids under the care of the paediatrics intensive care unit (PICU).

Those interested in setting up a stall during the charity fair may contact the Aeroville office (011-35019688), Melissa (016-8788023) or Vincent (016-8837433) for further information.
