KUCHING, April 19: The Aeroville Mall Gawai Bazaar 2024 is set to captivate audiences with performances by Rickie Andrewson, Melissa Thomas, and many other talented artists.
Scheduled from May 1 to 12, the event promises twelve days filled with activities, including the launch of Gawai Song by KMP (Kaban Music Production), traditional Tuak making demonstrations by Tabari Saluma Megong from Rh Thomas Nyelutong in Betong, and traditional dance performances by Ngasi (Ngajat Asal Iban).
Speaking during a press conference held at local hotel today, event organiser, Padila Jiahong, who is also founder of Biubiu Beauty shop and Biubiu Event & Entertainment, said besides fostering community spirit, the event aims to provide exposure for local entrepreneurs.
āWe have total of 27 stalls that will be selling their products and services at the event, while eight stalls selling food and drinks, both halal and non-halal,ā she said.
Jiahong confirmed the participation of 13 artists, including local freelance singers, and expressed gratitude to Andenson Dato, executive chairman of Smart Vending, for sponsoring and supporting the event, as well as Kapitan Tan Kun Gee for providing the venue.
The event, which is jointly organised by BiuBiu Event & Entertainment and Kelab Seni Budaya Anak Sarawak (Kesera), will be held at Aeroville Mall from 11am to 11pm.
In addition to performances, the event will feature activities such as the Children’s Traditional Dress Competition, Traditional Perkasam Fish making demonstration, a fan meeting session with Rickie Andrewson, open karaoke, showcases of Personal Collection of Ratu Kebaya Elite, and the Aeroville Gawai Idol competition.
Other local singers scheduled to perform during the 12-day event include Jackson Nico, Sheldon Alfred, Jackson Nyalung, Volention Delly, Shilla J, Veronica Natasha, and many others. āĀ DayakDaily
