“Presently, there are only two lanes at Taman Tunku junction – one heading towards Bintulu while another lane to Taman Tunku, and we plan to build the third lane (the additional lane) heading to Taman Tunku to reduce the traffic congestion,” he told the press after visiting the Taman Tunku Junction earlier today.

He revealed construction work will start once construction along the stretch from Pujut Junction all the way to Taman Tunku junction is completed.

“The team will shift to Taman Tunku Junction to begin the construction of the additional lane once they finish all the work along the stretch,” he said.

At the same time, he added, all seven traffic lights along the stretch from Permyjaya up to Taman Tunku junction would be upgraded into smart traffic light systems to help smoothen traffic flow. ā€” DayakDaily
