KUCHING, March 27: Popular Malaysian actor Beto Kusyairi is expected to make a special appearance at the picnic-style Sungkei Rami-Rami Kuching event at Padang Merdeka taking place on Saturday (March 30).
Organised byt CATS FM, the radio station also extended an invitation to Kuchingites, regardless of race or religion, to join the potluck-style breaking of fast event.
Additionally, attendees can look forward to various other activities, including games and quizzes with enticing prizes up for grans.
The event will also feature stage performances and presentation of donations to orphaned children.
CATS programme manager Fadzli Daud said CATS presenters and staff will also distribute bubur lambuk (porridge) to the public, including free food packs to the first 300 visitors.
“We urge people from all walks of life, including non-Muslims, to come together with their friends and families. Bring along food, mats, tents, and chairs, for a gathering in the spirit of harmony to show our unity as Sarawakians,” he said in a media release today.
Several open tents will also be provided at the venue for the convenience of the public, while a prayer room will also be provided to facilitate Muslim attendees in their prayers. — DayakDaily
