Abg Jo on CNY visits in Miri

MIRI, Feb 8: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife, Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang, arrived here last night for Chinese New Year visits.

His first stop was at Power line Sdn Bhd and Viana Fokus Sdn Bhd chairman Chung Tai Yu’s residence in Bakam.


Abang Johari and his entourage arrived at Chung’s house at about 8.30pm, and they were greeted by Chung, his wife, Lai Nyat Choon, and family.

Also present were Assistant Minister for Law, State-Federal Relations and Project Monitoring Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, Assistant Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Lee Kim Shin and Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting.

Today, Abang Johari is scheduled to continue his CNY visits to several dignitaries and friends here.

He is expected to visit, among others, Lee, Ting and Shin Yang Group of Companies chairman Tan Sri Ling Chiong Ho.

This evening, he is scheduled to attend Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) CNY gathering at a leading hotel here. — DayakDaily
