KUCHING, April 5: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today receives a courtesy visit from Koperasi Kepimpinan Guru Bumiputera Berhad (KO-KGBS) at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here.
According to a report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the courtesy visit led by KO-KGBS chairman Ahmad Malie was to inform the Premier on the setting up of the cooperative.
Ahmad Malie informed that the cooperative’s objective is to assist the Bumiputera teachers associations in the State.
“Since its establishment in July last year, the cooperative has about 7,000 members to date.
“The cooperative aims to assist and strengthen the movement of the teachers union as an organisation and look for funding for its activities,” he said. — DayakDaily
