KUCHING, Nov 24: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg launches the construction of the Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) Worship and Community Centre in a dinner held at Penview Convention Centre (PCC) tonight.
The new Borneo Evangelical Mission Worship and Community Centre will be situated on Lot 6591 at Taman Desa Wira.
It will consist of a senior-citizen daycare facility, a worship hall which can accommodate 1,000 at one time, a canteen and rooms for Sunday school.
Apart from that, there will be a nursery and a kindergarten which is able to accomodate 120 children as well as a parish hall for games and other events with a seating capacity of 400.
There will also be a hostel for BEM members who are traveling to Kuching from outstration.
The centre will consist of office space for BEM Kuching District and BEM Grace church where there will be a multi-purpose chapel. — DayakDaily
