KUCHING, Nov 26: Mohd Chee Kadir may stand again in Kabong following the good response from the people there towards him, hinted Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today.
Abang Johari mentioned this when officiating a leaders with the people gathering at Kabong District Hawker Centre in Betong today.
“Insya-Allah I can see that your (local people) response towards him (Chee) is very good, so he might continue to become your representative,” he said.
At the same time, Chee, when delivering his speech said if he is given the mandate to become the representative of Kabong again after the State polls, he would continue to bring development to Kabong including upgrading Pantai Tanjung Kembang Kabong as a tourist attraction.
Chee of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) won the Kabong seat during the 11th Sarawak Election with 5,069 votes against Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) candidate Jini Sahini who only secured 1,484 votes. — DayakDaily
