After helming the Satok seat for nine terms since 1981, this is the first time that Abang Johari will not be defending the seat as he will be contesting in N26 Gedong.

Satok will see a three-cornered fight between GPS candidate Datuk Ibrahim Baki, Awang Badele Awang Ali of Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) and Datuk Ir Dr Nor Irwan Ahmat Nor of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).

Also present at the venue were Ibrahim and GPS Whip chief-cum-Petra Jaya MP Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

Speaking to the reporters, Fadillah described the implementation of the voting process as smooth, adding that it only took him less than 10 minutes for him to cast his vote.

He also explained that based on the information he received from the Election Commission (EC), a special disposable brush is used to apply the indelible ink on the fingers of Covid-19 symptomatic voters as part of the standard operating procedures (SOP).

“Those with no symptoms, they will still dip their finger into a special ink as a mark that he or she has voted,” he said.

He also called on those who have yet to cast their votes to do so as soon as possible. ā€” DayakDaily
