KUCHING, Nov 19: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang arrived at the SK Merpati Jepang polling centre at 9.29am today to cast their votes in P194 Petra Jaya.

The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) chairman-cum-Gedong assemblyman and his wife were greeted by constituents before casting their votes at the designated voting channel.

Also present at the venue were P194 Petra Jaya incumbent Dato Sri Fadillah Yusuf, Satok assemblyman Datuk Ibrahim Baki and Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) director Mohamed Khaidir Abang.

Speaking to reporters, Abang Johari said the weather is nice today and thus, called for voters to turn up to vote.

“Alhamdulillah, I believe the unity in Sarawak is strong and the people have made their decision (on their choice of elected representative).

“I hope after the 15th General Election, our country will be at peace and we can form a stable federal government,” he said. — DayakDaily
