KUCHING, Dec 1: Gabungan Parti Sarawak’s (GPS) candidate list for 12th Sarawak Election polled on Dec 18 will be unveiled on Dec 3, 2021 (Friday) at 3.30pm.
Its chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg will release the full list of all 82 GPS candidates on the day, according to a reliable source.
This is contrary to the initial announcement that he would make the list known two days prior to the nomination day (Dec 6) on Dec 4.
The reason that GPS is announcing the list on Friday instead of Saturday is because Abang Johari, who is also the chief minister, is expected to launch the new Mukah Airport together with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Federal Minister of Transport Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong this Saturday.
Meanwhile, GPS top brass are meeting tonight at Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) headquarters to finalise the candidate list. — DayakDaily
