KUCHING, March 5: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy visit from the Uzbekistan Ambassador to Malaysia, Ravshan Usmanov, at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia on Friday.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), Ravshan said a few matters were discussed with the Premier, including economic cooperation, trade, education, and tourism.
He also said a meeting would be held with the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) to discuss the possibility of entering into joint ventures between the Sarawak business community and Uzbek enterprises.
Also discussed was the potential of import-export operations in the future and similar points that can be found between Sarawak and Uzbekistan. ― DayakDaily
