KUCHING, Mar 1: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg congratulates newly minted prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the latter’s residence this evening.
Upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur, Abang Johari went to Muhyiddin’s house at Bukit Damansara to congratulate the latter as well as having a meeting with him.
Both leaders were believed to have held a discussion for over an hour.
Earlier in the morning, Muhyiddin took the oath as the eighth prime minister of Malaysia before the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
Among those present at the meeting were Deputy Chief Ministers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Satok branch’s deputy chairman Datuk Ibrahim Baki. — DayakDaily
