KUCHING, Dec 5: The Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, together with their family, have extended their condolences to the family of the late Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman, Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, who passed away today.
In their condolence message issued by Astana Sarawak on Facebook, Wan Junaidi described the late Kinabatangan MP and Lamag assemblyman as a political figure with steadfast principles, unafraid to voice his views, and committed to carrying out his duties with utmost responsibility.
“His firmness in principles and clarity in decision-making earned him the respect of colleagues and the public,” he said.
He also expressed appreciation for the late Bung Mokhtar’s loyalty to his cause, which remained intact despite various challenges.
Bung Moktar passed away after undergoing treatment for a severe lung infection at a hospital in Kota Kinabalu. He was moved to the intensive care unit after suffering kidney failure. — DayakDaily
