8pm-5am curfew imposed in Bintulu, Tatau and Sebauh from May 29-June 14

KUCHING, June 1: Bintulu, Tatau and Sebauh will be under an 8pm-5am curfew from May 29 until June 14.

According to updated standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Covid-19 released by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), individuals and groups of people are not allowed to visit public areas during that time.


SDMC added drivers and essential services workers in Bintulu, Tatau and Sebauh are required to take Covid-19 swab tests once every week, in addition to obtaining police permits for frequent travelling across the district.

For other districts, the curfew will be in effect from 10pm until 5am.

At the same time, gatherings of more than two people in public places are not allowed while children under the age of 12 and individuals in high-risk groups are not permitted to be in public and crowded places without valid reasons. — DayakDaily
