KUCHING, Sept 24: Eight adults and four children were injured following a collision on Jalan Lukut Penyulau, Kanowit today.
According to a report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, the department received a call from Malaysia Emergency Rescue Service (MERS) 999 about the incident at 3.32pm and firefighters from the Kanowit fire station were deployed to the location.
Upon arrival, the operation commander reported that the incident involved two sedan vehicles.
Firefighters then proceeded to provide initial medical treatment those who were injured and carrying the other victims to the road shoulder before medical personnel from Ministry of Health (MOH) arrived on the scene to attend to the injured.
After ensuring the road was clear of debris from the accident and the situation was safe, firefighters then ended the operation at 4.49pm. — DayakDaily
