KUCHING, Aug 29: The upgrading of the drainage system at 7th Mile Kota Sentosa amounting to RM1,100,000 will begin implementation soon.
In a statement, Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap said he was briefed by Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) officers today that the project that will alleviate the flash flood problem in the area, and will be rolled out through open tender.
The drainage system upgrading project is one of the three Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects in Kota Sentosa constituency that will start construction soon.
The other two projects were the upgrading work of Kota Sentosa Town Square by Kuching Resident Office with a cost of RM500,000, and the upgrading of toilet facility at Taman Kalien Basketball Court at a cost of RM30,000 by JKKK Kota Sentosa 7th Mile.
During the briefing, Yap had also requested MPP officers to expedite the delivery of the three RTP projects amounting to RM1,630,000 for the benefit of the public. — DayakDaily
