KUCHING, March 30: The 722 Walk will be held at Tasik Biru, Bau this year, featuring an array of activities, performances, and parade to commemorate Sarawak Day.
According to organising chairman Francis James, the 722 Walk is expected to be enlivened with performances from a brass band, a gong group from Kampung Atas, and the Suti Lion Dance troupe from Kampung Skiat–the only Dayak Lion Dance troupe–alongside several cultural groups.
The 722 Pan-Sarawak Convoy will also be making its way to the event at Tasik Biru.
The 722 Walk is expected to span 2.2 kilometres, starting from Tasik Biru, crossing Bau town, and passing the Bau Bazaar.
To mark the 10th anniversary of July 22 being officially recognized as Sarawak Independence Day, the committee will also launch a logo design competition. More details will be announced soon.
