Yeo Yaw Lee, the convener of the 2025 Celebration of 722 Pan-Sarawak Convoy, and Dr Ling, the convoy chief of the motorcade, recently visited Lawas and the Lawas District coordinators James Tie and Egi King. After the meeting and exchange, the two sides held a simple flag handover ceremony for the motorcade.

Lawas, as the northernmost town in Sarawak and an important gateway, has been chosen as the starting point for the motorcade.

Yeo called on locals from all walks of life to actively participate in this rare Independence Day celebration. The aim of convoy is also to strengthen connections and foster unity among all districts in Sarawak through this cross-state motorcade.

The Pan Sarawak Tour is expected to travel across Sarawak, starting from Lawas on July 18, passing through Limbang, Miri, Bintulu, Sibu, Simanggang and Kuching, and finally arrive at the zero starting point of the Pan Borneo Highway – Telok Melano on July 21.

After completing the mission, the team will head to Kuching the next day to participate in the local 722 Independence Day celebration ceremony and activities. – DayakDaily
