KUCHING, Sept 17: A 71-year-old man was found dead in a locked room on the first floor of a three-storey shoplot in Lorong Chawan, Taman Supreme, for approximately a week.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Tabuan Jaya was called to the scene at 10.23am today to assist in gaining access.

Upon arrival, firefighters were informed that the elderly man had been locked in and had not left the room for several days.
Operation chief Daniel Teo instructed his team to open the locked door using a crowbar. Inside, rescue personnel discovered the victim had passed away on his bed.
Firefighters then assisted police in transferring the body into a body bag before it was handed over for further investigation. — DayakDaily
