BINTULU, Nov 1: The 6th floor of a factory in Samalaju Industrial Park was partially damaged after a conveyor machine caught fire today.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak swiftly responded to an emergency call at 12.42pm, despatching teams from both the Samalaju and Bintulu stations to the scene.
Efforts to contain the fire, which originated from a machine transporting alumina materials to the upper level, were successful, with the blaze brought under control by 1.55pm.
The flames were successful distinguished at 3.50pm and the operation concluded after the firefighters ensured the safety and security of the site. — DayakDaily
