SIBU, March 18: Farmers in Sungai Tellian recently received 67 bags of fertiliser and herbicide under the Madani Agricultural Aid programme of Democratic Action Party (DAP) Lanang service centre.
This was the second batch under the said programme for 2023 with two batches scheduled for the year.
Farmers who only recently applied for the programme will receive distributions this year with the first batch expected in the second half of this year.
According to Lanang MP Alice Lau last year, a total of 435 farmers benefited from the first batch of fertiliser and herbicide distribution activities, so they will continue to benefit from the second batch of activities.
“This aid is to reduce the burden of farmers in producing crops. After all, the prices of everything are rising and the pressure of life is increasing day by day,” she said. — DayakDaily
