KUCHING, Aug 11: A 65-year-old woman was killed in a road accident along Jalan Selangau-Tatau.
The deceased, identified as Dijah Lalei, was confirmed dead at the location by medical personnel from the Ministry of Health (MOH).
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, they received a call regarding the accident at 6.29am today and deployed Bomba Selangau to the location.
The operations commander reported that the accident involved a sedan car and a four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle.
One of the victims was pinned inside the vehicle, while one other managed to get out by herself.
After firefighters extracted the pinned victim, all of them were handed over to medical personnel for further action. — DayakDaily
