63 Mirians ‘sacrifice’ blood on Hari Raya Aidiladha

MIRI, July 3: KPJ Miri Specialist Hospital, in collaboration with Miri General Hospital Blood Bank and Miri Red Crescent Society, organised a blood donation event to commemorate World Donor Day recently.

According to a press release, the event interestingly coincided with Hari Raya Aidiladha on June 29, witnessing an overwhelming response of 89 individuals signing up to contribute to this noble cause.

Out of the total participants, 63 individuals successfully donated their blood, highlighting the selfless generosity of the Miri community.

Each donation has the potential to save up to three lives, emphasising the immense significance of this event.

The half-day event, held on the premises of the KPJ Miri Specialist Hospital, was aimed at raising awareness about the importance of blood donation and the positive impact it can have on saving lives. — DayakDaily
