62 RTP projects for Bukit Saban constituency & Betong parliamentary area

SPAOH, July 25: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas says 62 Rural Transportation Programme (RTP) projects have been approved for 2019.

These included 43 for Bukit Saban state constituency and 19 for the Betong Parliament.

“They will be implemented in two stages. Under the First Stage, a total of 19 which have been tendered out are currently being implemented,” said Uggah who is also Bukit Saban Assemblyman when visiting Rh Henry Ilon in Senunok Paku here yesterday.

Uggah was pleased to note that the 17 Rural Transportation Programme (RTP) projects for Bukit Saban constituency had achieved 88.2 per cent implementation rate in 2018.

Similarly, 27 of the RTP projects from the Betong parliamentary constituency for Bukit Saban had achieved 88.9 per cent implementation rate.

Earlier, Uggah met with relevant government departments and agencies to learn of the progress of these RTP projects.

He also had a short meeting with the Betong Agriculture Department and Betong Veterinary Services Department.

In his later visit to Rh.Linggie Keling of Sungai Langit Layar, Uggah announced a total of RM200,000 for the construction of a retaining wall to protect the 37- door longhouse against possible hillside erosion behind it.

He said the first RM100,000 will be disbursed this year while the rest, next year. — DayakDaily
