60 more Covid-19 cases linked to Kg Sg Duuh Cluster, 127 total so far

KUCHING, Aug 12: The Kampung Sungai Duuh Cluster added 60 more Covid-19 cases today, bringing its cumulative total to 127 so far.

The cluster registered the most number of new cases today among the 96 clusters presently active in Sarawak.


It was identified on July 30 after 28 members of certain families at a village located in the Siburan sub-district in Serian tested positive for the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the Bunga Rampai Cluster added 35 new cases, bringing its cumulative total to 186.

The cluster, which reported the second highest number of new cases today, was identified on July 30 and involves four families of a village located in the Serapi Range in Bau.

Other active clusters which reported new cases today include the Kampung Bungey 2 Cluster with 26 cases, Kampung Senari Cluster (19), Melikin Cluster (18), Kampung Pulo Ulu Cluster (14), Bandar Riyal Cluster (13) and Kampung Sebat Melayu Cluster (10).

There were 10 active clusters which registered single-digit increases in new cases.

They comprise the Kampung Quop Cluster with eight new cases, Lubuk Bukut Cluster (2), Jalan Kemena Industry Estate 38 Cluster (2), Kampung Bintawa Ulu (2), Peligong Cluster (1), Jambatan Lemua Cluster (1), Kampung Bintawa Hilir (1), Sessang Cluster (1), Dabai Baruh Cluster (1) and Kampung Tanjong Bajo Cluster (1).

Altogether 18 active clusters in Sarawak reported 215 new cases today. — DayakDaily
