5yo Ainul Mardhiah wins Perodua Aruz, 11 others score big prizes in Sukma 2024 lucky draw

KUCHING, Aug 18: It’s often said that luck can be unpredictable, and this proved true for five-year-old Ainul Mardhiah Hirizuan, who was named the grand prize winner of a Perodua Aruz at the lucky draw held during the opening ceremony of the 21st Malaysia Games (Sukma) 2024 yesterday (Aug 17).

According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) news report, the young winner’s name was displayed on the giant screen at Sarawak Stadium here, which was filled with approximately 40,000 spectators.

The moment was a significant highlight of the evening for Ainul, marking a special achievement for the child.

The lucky draw saw 11 other winners taking home prizes.

Farid Nazmi Nuwen won a MacBook Pro 16-inch, while Hanif Yamani Abdul Ra’afup secured an Ebixon Bold E-bike. Haykal Haqimie Amin received a 13-inch iPad Pro, Ten Kim Siang won an iPhone 15 Pro Max, and Fauziah Sepawi took home a Samsung Galaxy S24.

Other winners included Nur Fatin Najwa Ali with a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, Muhammad Hafizan Razi who won an Apple Watch Ultra 2, Muhammad Saffuan Abdul Razak who received an HP Laptop 15, Grace Valentina Robert who won a Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic BT, Mohamad Mahyan Su’ud with an Honor X8B, and Nur Izzuddin Syamim Mohd Bahrin who won a Samsung Galaxy Fit3.

The prize-giving ceremony was officiated at by Sarawak Minister for Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development (MYSED), Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, at the main media centre.

Also present were the Deputy State Secretary for Sarawak (Operations) and chief executive officer (CEO) of Sukma 2024, Datu Hii Chang Kee, and the permanent secretary of MYSED, Morshidi Fredrick. — DayakDaily
