500 vendors take part in PETRONAS’ inaugural Sarawak OGSE Partners Day in Bintulu

KUCHING, Oct 23: PETRONAS’ inaugural Sarawak Oil and Gas Services and Equipment (OGSE) Partners Day in Bintulu saw the participation of about 500 licensed and registered vendors.

In a statement today, PETRONAS said the OGSE Partners Day is to bring local vendors together for a sustainable and resilient OGSE ecosystem to drive the industry forward amidst the energy transition.

Participants also had the opportunity to learn about the updated OGSE programmes and participated in networking sessions to encourage collaborations and partnerships that could enhance their competitiveness.

According to PETRONAS Head of Industry Shaping and Collaboration, Group Procurement Syaharudin Hassan, PETRONAS is committed to the ongoing efforts to improve the capability and capacity of its vendors.

“This OGSE Partners Day in Bintulu is an example of those efforts to catalyse the vendors’ growth and competency to nurture a robust OGSE ecosystem,” he said.

At the event, industry leaders and subject matter experts also shared their insights on current industry trends and best practices on matters such as vendor financing, licensing and registration, sustainability, the Punchout business-to-business (B2B) marketplace, and technology.
