5 kindergartens in Apoh/Tutoh area upgraded to Penan SeDidik kindergartens

KUCHING, May 13: Five kindergartens under the Community Education Programme (Penan) in Apoh/Tutoh area of Miri have been upgraded to Penan SeDidik kindergartens.

According to a news report by TVS, Minister of Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah said the five kindergartens are located in Ba’ Selulong, Long Kawa, Long Leng, Long Kerangan and Long Jenalong.

She further revealed that the project is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative undertaken by Petronas through her Ministry that will benefit 32 students across all five kindergartens.

Fatimah highlighted this during a press conference held a at Miri Resident office yesterday (May 12).

Since 2015, the Sarawak government has received an allocation of RM2.75 million from her ministry to construct buildings for all five kindergartens.

Additionally, Fatimah highlighted that the teaching staff in each of the SeDidik kindergartens will be trained to possess a minimum of a Diploma in Early Childhood Education by 2025. — DayakDaily
