KUCHING, Sept 26: Five individuals sustained injuries in a two-vehicle accident, with one vehicle ended up on its side at Jalan Ulu Jemukan, Asajaya today.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak promptly responded to a distress call received at 6pm and dispatched a team of firefighters from the Asajaya Station.
Upon reaching the scene, they discovered that the accident involved two vehicles, a Perodua Viva and a Perodua Kenari.
In the Perodua Viva, there was one driver and four passengers, while the Perodua Kenari was carrying only the driver.
All victims had already been assisted out of their vehicles by members of the public before the firefighters arrived.
The injured victims received initial treatment from Civil Defence Force personnel and were subsequently transported to the Asajaya health clinic.
Additionally, the firefighters took precautionary measures by disconnecting the batteries to prevent any potential ignition of fire.
Following the assurance of safety at the accident site, the operation concluded at approximately 7pm. — DayakDaily
