KUCHING, Nov 24: Police issued five compounds for violations of standard operating procedures (SOP) in the past 24 hours.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement today, revealed that two compounds were issued in Kuching, and one each in Sarikei, Simunjan and Betong.
On roadblocks operation mounted in Kuching district following the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), a total of 6,538 vehicles had been checked.
The cumulative number of vehicles inspected was 108,544. Of the number, 613 vehicles had been ordered to turn back since Nov 9.
Meanwhile, the Local Government and Housing Ministry also issued 126 oral, written and seizure notices under Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) (28), Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) (27), Kuching South City Council (MBKS) (24), Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) (20), MD Marudi (19), MD Serian (4), Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) (3), and MD Sarikei (1).
Compliance checks were also carried out on 1,340 premises throughout Sarawak involving 129 supermarkets, restaurants (296), factories (15), banks (87), government offices (19), hawkers (125), markets (76), houses of worship (57), recreational areas (39), construction sites (13) and others (484). — DayakDaily
