KUCHING, April 14: A 48-year-old man with high blood pressure from Bintulu is the latest Covid-19 death in Sarawak reported today.
According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), it was categorised as a brought-in-dead (BID) case.
As of this day, Sarawak reported at least 1,723 cumulative Covid-19 death cases.
Meanwhile, the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak was pushed to 303,461, with 286 new cases registered today.
Breaking it down in terms of clinical categories, there were 65 Category 1’s, 218 Category 2’s, two Category 3’s, and one Category 4.
District-wise, Kuching recorded the highest with 75 cases, followed by Miri (33), Sibu (32), Bintulu (28), Betong (26), Serian (11), and Kanowit (10).
Other districts with new infections included Limbang (9), Samarahan (6), Asajaya, Pusa, Mukah, Sri Aman (5 each), Dalat, Julau, Kabong, Matu, Simunjan, Bau (3 each), Sarikei, Kapit, Lubok Antu, Marudi, Lundu, Daro, Subis (2 each), Saratok, Song, and Selangau (1 each).
No new Covid-19 clusters were reported today, which leaves four clusters still active in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
